Is the "xim4 manager" only available for android ???
I couldn't find a download for "apple ios".
I did a search xim4 and I wasn't able to find
anything, even beginning with "XIM" other
than a couple of unrelated apps.

Yes, that's correct, XIM4 Manager is available for PC and Android. iOS will be coming later, however, we don't yet have an ETA.

I've seen you mention some issues with the iOS app a few times. Is there a thread already that explains whats happening. Just curious really.

Unlike other mobile operating systems, iOS is the only one that locks down its basic Bluetooth services and requires a large fee to use it. In addition, they require a special chip (that only Apple can provide) be embedded into the product as well. This has prevented us from supporting iOS up to this point.

OBs, maybe this should be in the FAQ?  It may be the most frequently asked question at this point.

Not sure if this is against TOS im pretty sure its not but have you thought about releasing one on cydia for the jailbreak community?  that way people with IOS devices at least have some option available.

So just to be clear, does this mean you are not working on an iOS app or have no plans until apple changes there policy (which wont happen)?

We are planning on an iOS app, but, we don't have an ETA of when that'll be released.

Is the chip installed in the XIM4?

No, it isn't. It requires Apple to source the chip.

It is misleading to tell your customers that you are working on an iOS app if you don't have the chip installed.  From what you are saying it will never be possible.

Locating the information that there is no iOS support for this product is like reading the fine print in a contract.  Oh yes, the information is there.  It's not front and center in any of the marketing material that sold me on this product.  Buyer beware.  I use a Mac not a PC so I am in a bad spot.  You owe it to your customers to make it more obvious that it is android only. >:(

I'm unclear why you feel that we aren't being up-front with what platforms we support. The main site page doesn't show an Apple icon (Android and PC only), the store listing states Android and PC only (both in text and icons), the hardware compatibility page shows Android and PC only, all the instructional videos only show Android and PC. We are talking to Apple to see if there is any way to get iOS support without the MFi chip.

if you did your research you would know that it is VERY clear that no IOS app exists yet. Research does wonders you know. Don't blame someone else for your lack of effort.

Same problem here. You shouldn't have to "research" to find out if something is incompatible. This device has one of the worst user experiences I've ever seen. I'm two hours into getting this thing setup. Amazingly unintuitive.
