Time for change? m/kb
« on: 07:15 AM - 09/19/14 »
It is something that has weighed heavily on my shoulders for a few weeks now.  I have the first gen G5 and G15. We have had an amazing 8 year relationship, we've become one.  Keys are starting to stick, not respond. Taking the mouse apart for a good cleaning is no longer having the desired effect.  Ugh, time to do some shopping I guess....

I hate change.

He's asking what mouse and keypad we think he should buy.

Mice?  You're gonna get a ton of suggestions.  The current forum favorite right now seems to be the Logitech G502.  I would recommend different mice, but I'm a special person... soooooo.  Corsair M45 or Steelseries Rival.

Keypads?  You have precisely one option.  Razer Orbweaver.

Hard to go wrong with the G502 given the 43 page thread on it. :)

I have a collection of mice, each I have used quite a lot and I like each for it's own characteristics.
g5
g500
g400
g9x
g700
Mx518
Deathadder
My keyboard is a CMstorm Quickfire rapid w/ reds
I also use the Sony nav controller a bit.

I really have heard many good things about the G502. I was gonna get the 402fps but I need moar buttons.

He's asking what mouse and keypad we think he should buy.

Given that he/she hasn't returned to the thread that he/she started, I think my suspicion that he/she just wanted to share that his/her mouse needs to be put out to pasture was probably more accurate.  Which is perfectly fine.

got the 502 this morning...arrived in less than 24 hours from KY -> MA, gotta love amazon. :)

So far, it seems like the perfect size for me, the g700 I've been using as of late is nice, wireless, but it's pretty huge. The 502 sensor seems pretty nice so far, though i havent played but 1 match

Im picking up the g502 after work :) my g9x keeps cutting in and out, seems like a known issue with that mouse. Time to upgrade!

I'm pretty impressed by the sensor so farI also like that you can set the LEDs to pulse like the XIM :P
Wish the colors were customizable though

Can you disable the G light?

Yes you can set it to off, on, or pulse.  I have it set to pulse though.  All types of bad assery lol.

If I'm not mistaken, you can even turn off the DPI/Profile lights too.  Have to look at LGS.  Actually maybe just DPI.  Think Profile lights need to be on, but again, I have to double check.
