Sony bluetooth earpiece

The guy at gamestop told me he uses his from his ps3 on his ps4. Does anyone know if this is true?  Mine died but that is what I would really like to use. I just don't want to buy one and not be able to use it. Or if another brand works that would be good.

Is there something specific to the XIM you are worried about? Because if not wouldn't Sony's website be a better source? Just asking.

I just tried to use my Sony PS3 earpiece with PS4 and was told "Cannot find a profile supported by the PS4" for it.  So, don't take the GS guy at his word, I think.

I'm guessing the GS guy was confused and maybe referring to his Pulse Elites which leverage a USB dongle?

I like to try and give people the benefit of the doubt, even when they're providing misinformation...
