Planetside 2 coming to ps4 as f2p!?

Last thing i read about a week ago is that 1080p is a thing now but thats it, the news claimed its very close to release now

Im definitely going to try it, didnt play PS2 on the PC so far

PS2 has always been F2P and of course will be on the PS4, just take a look at how they run the game on PC because that is exactly what they plan to do for PS4.

They've been "close" to release on PS4 since the launch of the system... don't hold your breathe

I played for about 30 hours. When a massive amount of people get together on a tank convoy it's a lot of fun, but if there's no teamwork going on then it's slow paced and pretty boring tbh. But yeah, get 50-100 tanks into a flag capping frenzy and it's fkn awesome.

Don't like f2p, I'd rather spend 60$ on a game and buy it's dlc package if I like it enough. Instead of pay outright for weapons / gadgets.

Cert system is a huge grind, it's worth doing some research before you unlock something with your hard earned certs.

Planet Side 2 is confirmed for release on PS4 before the end of the year.  It was playable (behind closed doors I think IIRC) at Gamescom.

Planetside 2 is unreal, they have got the game in a good state now with further perf / content updates on the horizon. Just indulged in a 4790k and oc'd to 4.7ghz with a h100i and a 780ti to get max fps in battles

If anyone played harmless games / soe Infantry back in the day. This will give you some nostalgia, sorta like a 3d version of HP.

I really, really, hope this comes out in the next few months. I played it a TON on the PC and I would like to get back into it again. Only reason I stopped was my PC friends started playing other games, so I migrated too.

If they wait too long and end up releasing with all the AAA titles this fall / winter the game will flop hard.  They needed to release during a lul in game releases but have failed to do so.

Opening up to modding now, higby approved. Can get Halo / unreal tournament / duke nukem announcers, and a stat tracker over lay, or if you like on a 2nd monitor with a live list of all your recent stats like, kills / killers name, time, their kd/r, etc in real time.

Anyone hear any updated news about the release date? I cant find any info on it other than "end of 2014". I had a blast playing this on the PC and when they release this on the PS4, I can see most of my time being spent on this. How long do you guys think it will take to get a ST for Planetside 2?
