[RESOLVED] ISSUE: G700 crashes the XIM4
« on: 01:51 PM - 08/04/14 »
Seems like i have found an Issue if i try to bind some Buttons in the XIM Manager. Everytime i bind a Button from my G700 it crashes the XIM4 and it had a white light and didnt work any more.
I have to reset it and try it in many variations and it is when i bind the button from my mouse, the Keyboard would work without any issue.
I delete any data from XIM4E from my PC and reinstallt the Manager again, but it happent again and again...

Ps: The Mouse ist working fine on my PC, it is updated and the Buttons are setting to generic.

Would be nice if somebody have solved this issue allready, i find nothing in the Forum...

I've seen other users describe the same problem, and each time it was the XIM4E residue that caused it.

Did you definitely follow all of the XIM4E -> XIM4 steps described in the sticky at the top of the forum?

If i type this inside the Command Prompt it shows me "The System cannot find this file" and if i search at PC search prompt it dosnt show any more file.
Any idea?

When you launch Manager when after you clear things out, do you get the license agreement again and have to download game support?

Im not exactly sure, but i didnt think so that i have to agree the license again.
Can it happend that my mouse have a problem? It fall on the floor last week, but on the PC it works.
Or is there anymore hidden file from XIM4E on the PC?

If you didn't have to agree to the license agreement again, that means you didn't clear out all of XIM4E.

I try it now with my Mac and Bootcamp, there it worked smooth with my G700. It looks like there is some more file on my Laptop.
Any idea how i can find and remove it?  :o

1. Delete the ProgramData folder
2. Uninstall the Manager if you installed the new .msi version
3. Unpair all XIM4 and delete any XIM4 devices
4. Reboot
5. Install the msi Manager
6. Reboot
7. Enjoy

That's basically what I had to do, let me know.
