G502 Mouse Buttons not binding with XIM4
« on: 06:03 PM - 07/31/14 »
hey guys, anyone using a G502 mouse?

I can only bind Forward / Back / Scroll forward - back / Left - Righ buttons.

How do you bind the other buttons? XIM manager does not read them.

From tuact experience you need to change the buttons on g502 software first

Try setting up your G502 buttons similar to this in LGS, it worked with XIM4E.

What's K1....K5? Are these mapped to some keyboard buttons?

It worked. Assign keyboard keystrokes to the mouse keys and then XIM manager reads them.

Thanks guys!

We do have an issue we are working on where keyboard keys generated by mice sometimes "stick". It's a high priority for us to fix.

This is a new feature of XIM4. This didn't work on prior XIMs.

^ You mean this is and AWESOME new feature for XIM4 ;)

I haven't had any sticky button issues, maybe luck, IDK.

Now all you need is Turn Assist OBs! Yes, I'm relentless! Only because you made me this way, well and maybe roads a little  ;)

P.S.
thanks for answering that PM.

I actually starting working on it and then had to back it out because it was getting too big of a change for the next firmware/Manager drop. But, I'll add it back, I promise.

What do u mean with assign keystrokes to the mouse keys? (As in k1...5)

Inside xim manager or in some logitech tool?

^ You have to change them in LGS first. Look at the pic I posted a few posts back. I assigned keyboard keys 1-5 to those mouse buttons.

Then you can utilize the buttons within XIM manager and they will show up.

LGS (Logitech Gaming Software)

Hello everyone!

I just went and buy the G502 mouse this morning to get prepared for my XIM4 arrival ;D Can someone explain to me how to change the mouse buttons to K1, K2, K3, K4 and K5? I'm not sure I understand what this is...  ???

Also, since it's possible to create 3 profiles in the LGS, do I have to deactivate the 2 others before plugging it to the XIM4 and set it so that there's only 1 DPI sensitivity level (maximum ofc (12 000))? This is my first gaming mouse so I'm kinda lost  :-[

Any help would be really grateful!
