Tutorial: Fix Low Mic Volume (Windows XP/Vista/7/7 sp2/8/8.1  (Read 3729 times)

Step 1:

Run Command: control mmsys.cpl sounds

Step 2:

Go To "Recording"


Step 3:
Click "Your Mic" -> Configure "Your Mic"


Step 4:
Setup Microphone -> Other Mic


Step 5:
Place your Microphone in it's normal location and prepare to say the following: "Peter dictates to his computer. He prefers it to typing, and particularly prefers it to pen and paper."



Step 6:
finish enjoy!

Stuff still weird?

Instead of Configure click Properties

Nothing, ran into this issue and so has nobody...just documenting it for him and future streamers...

And why you open sound options with command?

i wanted to make sure it was guaranteed you made it to what i expect.

i actually didnt know windows had these features built in.

i had been routing my mic into Ableton and using gate to kill the background noise and add gain. No need to run ableton now, thanks!!! :)
