Laser or Optical mouse for xim4?

The G502 looks really uncomfortable and the naos is not for sale in local stores where i live

i've been wanting to try an optical mouse for some time now.

same here ive had laser the entire time... and the mouse just wont die... lol...

i might go to my g400 if my xai dies

Let me ask you guys, do you think mouse pads really make a difference ...I've been using a Logitech G5 (laser) from the original XIM days on just about anything hard & flat ...and seemed fine

I have g602 + Edge and It is flawless, Not many buttons ( But necessary ones)  500 hz wireless receiver, very LONG lasting batteries Even in performance mode, very suitable for every circumstances : desktop console, desktop pc ( Just move the receiver from xim to front pc usb)  laptop console with sony navigator or... G13 or whatever wireless you prefer

The G602 only advantage is long battery life and an OK sensor. That’s it. It’s a bad design for the thumb and low DPI and also heavy like an Elephant especially with two batteries. I have it so I know what I am talking about.

Personally, I like having a pad. What you use doesn't really make a difference. I've used both a cheap memory foam pad, and I use a ROCCAT mat at home.

Yes, pads can make an enormous amount of difference.  Different sensors work best on specific surfaces.
