Laser or Optical mouse for xim4?

when I first got my xim edge a couple of years ago I used my Logitech G9x laser mouse & found it worked great & after a while I purchased a Logitech G400 due to recommendations from these forums that this was one of the better mouses to use with the xim edge even though it was older tech & lower dpi & true I found this older optical mouse did feel better than my G9x.
Is it going to be the same for the xim4 where probabaly the best mouse to use is still the Logitech g400 or some newer laser mouses with higher dpi will be better

from my experience there are some bad apples in both laser and optical classes.

     I wouldn't say either tech is the better pic. Most mice (both optical and laser) at their max cpi ... will produce some "jitter" or erratic behaviors because their true cpi has been multiplied several times.
When xim gaming .. the max dpi/cpi isn't always the best solution for accuracy and control. 

Often on my xim's I'll pick the highest dpi and work my way back until I fell less jittery movements. which usually is far below the max speed of the mouse.

I have never had any issue with my G500 at max DPI.  However after 3 years of nightly bashing on BF3 the LB is on its way out.  Might look to the G600 next as a like the look of the extra buttons which could make up for some awkward placements on the Sony Nav.  Will have to take it for a test drive before purchase though to ensure its not too bulky / heavy.

Can anyone confirm whether the G600 or Razer Naga in the end worked with XIM 3 or Edge?

This is the mouse i use.  I LOVE IT!  It is a little on the heavy sidebut the side buttons are perfectly laid out.  You can put a death grip on this thing and not accidentally bump buttons like other "mmo" mice.

Just picked up their Ryos MK Pro Keyboard (with brown switches).

They have an optical version of their top mouse coming out soon too.  Kone XTD Optical.
