Yup they work just like the video. We have done a few "smart home" installs with access control and fingerprint id. Only done the kwickset once so far but it works good. Check out z-wave (honeywel) they have a really nice system and their phone app is sweet. We put a magnetic launchport ipad mount on a wall for a customer that controls the home security, lighting, audio, tv, hvac (air/heat) all from the ipad. When its not being used it just chills on the wall via magnet mount and charges by induction. Pretty sweet.
