No, honestly, I thought the average age here would be lower than 20. I just began playing FPS games on pc pretty soon, and then I decided to switch to X360 and came across that sweet XIM tool.

It actually makes perfect sense to me....

Most of us older guys (44 here) started out with Atari and Nintendo.  As things progressed we (at lest "I") moved to computer based games and got use to using a mouse.  When the Playstation and Xbox came around and the consoles took a big leap, it came time to move back to consoles rather than upgrading the video card every other week.  After using a mouse for years it's hard to go back to the sticks so that's when it's time to find XIM.

49 - I thought I'd be the oldest. Good to see others that I can call gramps and other old names! LOL

Started playing Doom DM against local friends via 9600 baud modem (dial-up for you really young players).
Graduated to Duke Nukem 3D via modem and LAN parties.
Had my first "online" FPS DM via a program called Kali.
Next stop Quake 2 via BROADBAND! Did DM, CTF clan ladders (Remember the TEN network?)
Got lost in Everquest for a few years and went back to FPS's.

I'm tried of updating PC's when the consoles are so much more ....  ummm...  convenient. But as hard as I've tried I just can't get the hang of a console controller for FPS. I thought I was destined to be a Xbox n00b the rest of my days. I can't wait for my revenge! Mwuahahahaha!

Pretty much sums it up for me.  I got tired of hacking in pc or always suspecting it, and the cost of constantly having to upgrade converted me over to console.  I refused to buy a console until this little device called a Xim came along.

For me too, I’m one of the “gramps” here (56), one of my nephews had an Atari and I used to play with him. Then early 80’s got into computers in college (punching cards) after it was all PC games, from the first MS flight simulator to the last; also Doom, Quake all of Half Life’s, etc. Got into console PS3 because friends at work but could not use the controller found XIM and the rest its history.
