My next worry
« on: 11:05 AM - 03/04/14 »
Now that the PS4 puzzle as been all but cracked I find my self anxious for the product but worried.
As some one who doesn't partake in the Microsoft experience I"m worried that while everyone else is mousing it up, I'll be stuck with no way to communicate with the device.

So I'm just inquiring on what the plans are on the software roll out.

Will the iOS version be ready when the product ships, or after.
If after, how long? Weeks, Months, Quarters?

And will there ever be a MAC version?

Based on the answers to these questions it might be worth it for me to buy a used windows computer for cheap.

if you have a mac - use bootcamp for windows.  there will be a desktop based application (needs bluetooth - which Mac has) and you can communicate to your xim that way.

I sure will install bootcamp and buy a licenced copy of Windows 7 or 8 just for the XIM app. If there is an IOS app a Mac would be nice.
Crusade atm: none

I just wanted to say that you are a phenomenal gamer. You make it look so easy and your gameplay has this commanding "tone" to it (i.e. not frantic -- more of a dominating calm :) ).

Why would you buy a whole computer over a cheapo used Android device? You can find Gen 1 Nexus 7's for under $100.

I use OS X and communicate just fine with XIM EDGE/XIM4E. just get VMware and use it in Utility mode for now. I understand your pain tho i would rather full iOS/OS X support because running two OS at the same time while trying to record slows down my Macbook's performance.

You should probably try to avoid pointing people toward cheap Android devices that don't include Bluetooth. Since, you know, Bluetooth is required for XIM4.

You're not getting an Android device with Bluetooth for much under the $100 mark, and if you're at the $49 mark you're probably getting a POS that doesn't work.

Again, stick with reputable brands if you're going to grab an Android device.

I looked for a damaged one and found a HTC that has a broken mic. Unusable to most but perfect for the XIM App.
