Black Dotting (??) only on up/down movement?

Forgive me, I don't know what the EDGE terminology is for black dotting (I'm a XIM3 user).  But in the XIM4E beta, I've noticed that black dotting is identified by flashing red lights.  Is this accurate?

Assuming that it is...  I have my sensitivity set so I rarely black dot on my movements but I notice it flashes red with simple up/down movements regardless of how fast I do it.  I can get it to flash red with fast left/right swipes but any up/down does it.  Is this normal or a bug?

I don't know what your definition of fast is, but prior to the beta my Edge flashed red easier, or with a lesser quick motion up and down compared to left and right.
Is it affecting your play?

What game. Generally the Y axis has a smaller max turn speed so you will see that warning sooner than the X axis.

@Mist... Ghosts.  Unless I'm dragging the mouse like a slug, it flashes red on up and down for just about all my movements.  Does it do it for you too?   DPI 1000, sens 100 (yes I know this is a bit high so that may be all it is).

@theBside... no it is not.  Just noticed it and wondered.  Just helping to ensure the XIM4E beta is as thorough as possible so I wanted to bring it up.

100 isn't too high for you? At 100 sensitivity that's about 27 sensitivity with my 3600 dpi mouse. I play at about 12-13 sensitivity. You're around double of what I play at.

100 for hip fire... 30 for ADS  (ballistics tweaks included).  And I'm an idiot.. I'm at 5700 DPI.. 1000 is the polling.  But to answer the question.. no.  I'm a twitch player.  I like the high sens.

100 at 5600dpi is going to black dot. You basically barely need to move the mouse to exceed the game's max turn speed.

*sigh* I realize what black dotting is all about and how sensitivity affects it.  My question is regarding why am I only black dotting while going up and down (not left and right unless I swipe really fast).  I believe MIST answered already with regards to the Y access hitting max before the X axis.

Yep. The turn speeds are not equal for X and Y axis but this is a game limitation so there is nothing we can do about it.

No worries. Wasn't looking for a solution. I just never noticed that on the XIM3. The blackdot notification seemed uniform for both X &  Y.
