So I went out to the digikey website..and on the drop down, you can choose a BT-820ND or BT-820.  Which is the appropriate choice?

Dammit I ordered the ND. Will that one not work? What's the difference I can't seem to find it on their website.

You are fine, its the same thing. You just have the option for the Digikey part number or the Manufacturer part number to show up on your invoice.

Alright good. I was worried they would sell out before I had a chance to re order the non ND but apparently they are the same thing. Haha

What? What version is it supposed to be? Laird only makes *one* BT-820.

@OBsIV

Does any V4.0 USB2.0 Bluetooth Dongle work? like is there any certain specifications that should be looked for? Because my Dad has a 4.0 USB2.0 dongle, but not 100% sure on specs vs the one listed :)

I think I'll still buy the one listed purely for support (No support given otherwise).

No, we support a specific adapter: Laird BT-820. We want people to use these because its what XIM4 will have in it. That said, the Laird is built around the CSR 8510 A10 chipset. There are plenty of adapters online that say they use the same chip -- but, their quality is terrible. You can't know what's in your BT adapter unless the manufacturer says what it is.

@OBsIV that's understandable, but such a rip off to send one to Australia $40 shipping on top of the price of dongle lol

Yes you are fine. If you press on the '?' below the drop down you'll see what I'm talking about. Some people prefer different part numbers for tracking purposes.

You can certainly try the ones you have already when the Beta firmware is released.
