Mouser screwed me. Said 5 were in stock and ready to ship immediately when I ordered and  it even went down to 4 after I ordered. Now it says backorered until the 17th.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm in communication with Laird now to understand how long it's going to take to get stock to Mouser and DigiKey. Please keep your backorder.

I don't think its a real time inventory system like the digi key website which is a shame. They probably aren't use to having a gang of people trying to buy a single item at the same time. haha

Yeah, it's definitely more of a B2B website that is expecting large quantity orders, not one-at-a-time piecemeal orders.

That said, I think it's going to be really tough to have a meaningful beta if people aren't getting their adapters until late February and the actual XIM4 is targeted to launch by the end of Q1.

I ordered mine really early on to, it was less than an hour after the beta details were announced. Thought for sure I was gonna get one since it said they had stock and I ordered so early on.

Oh well. Hopefully we hear something good today.

Yeah, me too. They still said they had 7 when I placed my order. I'm guessing they actually had 0 or they had a B2B order for several units that took precedence over our piece-meal orders.

When I called them this morning I told them to expect a bunch of people to cancel their orders as well. I was lucky enough to get one from Digikey but if I didn't I would've kept my backorder from Mouser.

I understand it. But as the BT plays a "small" rol in the beta's architecture, transferring data from PC to Edge, (that's what I understand, forgive me if I am wrong) why has it to be from a particular vendor? Many people are having problems in getting it.

Better postpone the launch till Digi or Mouser has enough stock, how about that? 

The beta won't have wired config. The whole point if the beta is to test out the new features which are dependent upon the Bluetooth

BT plays a huge role. It's how you do all of the configuration now. The reason it's coming from a particular vendor is because it's the only reliable adapter that uses the same chip that XIM4 will use.

Make sure you got a BT 4.0 with the right chipset. Lots of BT 4 USB devices out there (ASUS BT400 for example), but they're not the right chipset in many cases.
