Nope. The Controller just blinks. Even without the hub connected. This is on the latest beta release on 02/09

And you are using beta with 360 or DS3 controller and not xbox one?

Ok, this might be a power issue. Connect power to teensy too. Then try again.

Question, what is the last 3 digits of your wired controller in the back? Mine is 007
001 on mine (if im reading right numbers). The version should not matter.

I'm asking because there's an ongoing problem, not just me, with the xim4e users who are trying to use it with their 360. They get the blinking as well and they have controller that end with 007. Ones that end with 001 or 005 are working. It's not your mod that's not functioning.. Its the Controller itself.

I'm going to pick up a controller as soon as I get off work. It makes sense, since it goes to player 1 if it's directly connected to the mod. And it worked with the edge firmware.. But this beta firmware somehow nerfed it. The wired Controller I have is white and was for the first Gen Xbox. Yours is the black correct?

@roads, what's your controller number? If it's other than 007 then it's Confirmation that the xim4 firmware does not work with the older wired Controllers.

I must say WOW! I bought a already modded controller from a german guy on ebay, this little thing is amazing! My xim3 feels exactly as it should do, even better with 60 fps in BF4 :)
One thing i noticed was i had to change my pol rate to 1000hz instead of 125hz because it was choppy as hell, but after that it was good to go. I use a razer imperator mouse btw.

So my special thx to W11ce for his device :) And the german guy who sold this on ebay.

Thats the least thing i can do, you should get the Nobel price for inventing it :)
Its the advanced version i have, and it works perfectly, even the sticks works.

It's confirmed. Bought a wired 360 controller (black)  that ended with a 001 serial today.. And player 1 lights up. There must be a different type of Chipset in the older controllers ending with 007.. But 005 and 001 controllers work with the xim4e.

Check your mcps again if one touches the pcb. Had this also and now works. Was an MCP. They are little devils.

The -007 is the older Matrix version, where the -001, -005 and -006 are the newer CL (Common Line) version.

It's interesting that the Matrix causes issues where the CL does not, as the protocol used for them should be identical, but it is a M$ product, so who knows.

Both controllers pull roughly 20mA when connected with 1 LED lit up also, so power doesn't seem a likely issue, unless the Matrix is drawing much more current before syncing up than the CL, but I didn't see much more than 30mA or so on each one here when they were, tested on the 360 only though.

Someone would need to dig into the protocol a little bit with a Logic Analyzer and compare the two connected up where the issue occurs and see if anything was different there.

In case anyone needs to know, the Black controllers are almost always a CL version.

I was doing research and you're right on the money RDC. Obsiv is aware of this issue and will be addressed to Orbital. In the meantime, 007 controllers will NOT work with xim4e in general.. It has nothing to do with this mod to clear things up. There's a thread regarding this issue and they claim the same thing. http://www.xim3.com/community/index.php?topic=30833.0

@roads, I even double checked my WD but concluded that it's not even the mod involved in the problem. It's the Controller. Just wondering, what are the last 3 digits on your controller?
