Tut: USB -> DualShock 4 adapter mod (W11cE Device)

Is the battery holder optional when fitting this mod inside the Controller? Because I see it's only point for it is to mount the l2 and r2 triggers which I don't use.

The battery holder keeps reset button "extension" on place. Without it you would need long (like 2cm) stick to press it if needed. That is the only thing i can think of.

I left the Battery holder out not much room in there anyway.

Yeah its a pretty tight fit.. I had to reopen my Controller because my ds4 wouldn't power up. Turns out that the 5v connection of the ds4 triangle came loose.. That 5v point is pretty stubborn. I hot glued it and hope it will stay on.

I could make myself but ordering a couple of teensy 3's tracked costs a bloody fortune (£90 all in!!)  Besides I would rather have the advanced version and it looks bloody hard (jtag cpu reset point on a slim hard - that was like trying to solder to a gnats bollocks).

Can front the costs if need be.....

I'm uk based and ordered my teensy 3.1 from the official uk reseller.

I had free next day delivery and the teensy is £20, so if no one will make you one you have that option.

I think my total parts cost was a little over £50, would have been less but I ordered extra MCP's.

Did not have to buy a controller thankfully.

My thumb stick and trigger button developed physical faults, called Amazon and they sent me a brand new controller. Used the old one for the mod and have a load of spare parts as a bonus.

Hey all, been watching this thread for awhile and had plans to make one of these up, but they've gone a little sour for the time being, so I have a question..

Would anyone like to give this DAC PCB I made up a test? It's just a little cleaner and much smaller way of doing all 8 of those  DACs.

It uses the MCP4151 10k in the MSOP package and the 8.2k Resistors are also already on there. L2 and R2 jumper spots as well if the Advanced install is desired.





Asking that the parts and shipping be covered if anyone would like to try it out. Only have the one also.

NOTE: This is only an alternative method of installing the 8 DACs, everything else still needs to be done.

It’s a bit too late, where have you been? 90% of the debugging comes from the limited room and quite big MCPs.
Where are you located and how much is it?

I have much larger and more complex PCBs to work on than this.

I'm in the US. This board is only parts plus shipping, so it depends on where it's going as to the exact total. The parts and PCB were around $15 though, so for anyone in the US it would be around $20 for this one.

Im in Europe and so is W11ce so it doesn’t make much sense as its either too expensive or takes two weeks to arrive. But I´m only speaking for myself not W11ce. I am sure it takes at least an hour off building time. Nicely done.
