I just tested it, the chat works fine although it appears nobody talks in bf4. 

Took me 10 squads to actually get someone to respond to a simple hello.  Lol

Anyways, the speaker icon shows me transmitting and i could hear the other players

Do you guys think 24 awg will rise shorting the 5v and gnd connections? I got sent the wrong ones and was gonna start on it today.

I use 26 awg.  The 24 i tried was a little too stiff to work with but it will work fine if you are careful.  You can try cutting a few strands off the wire so its smaller.

Anyone that used the teensy 3.1 board.. Did you use the most recent 1.18 RC2 software for all this?

I have used only 1.17, but 1.18 RC2 should be fine too.

Another question, will the ds4 chat cable line-in at the bottom of the ds4 Controller work after its modded? I have a headset that plugs into it..

You should be fine as long you dont remove green mask from grounding. If you do the mask removing carefully you cant short circuit those even with poor soldering skills.

I have voice chat turned off in BF4 settings. Why would i want to communicate with strangers ?

Ok, got all wires soldered.. Now a few problems..

I connect ds4 to pc,  with Xbox 360 controller in USB shield.. I get player 1 on Xbox controller. Ds4 triangle is blinking.

I open up joy.cpl and every button is working Except for my Left stick press (L3). Its connected to pin 29.

And also,  my cross hair is on the top left corner. Not centered.. How to fix this?

How to fix this?

Find the soldering fault. You can also check the output window to narrow down the fault to the MCP that doesn’t work. Worst time you have doing this mod.

connect ds4 to USB on DS4 wait 5 secs. Best is to check in viewer while you do this.

I've had the ds4 calibrated with my ps4 before I started the mod.. Would I have to do it again?

Sorry, after 10 hours of soldering and prepping up wires I must've inhaled a ton of lead to go this crazy.

Anyways, I got it all working! In joy.cpl is the cross hair supposed to be staying still? Mine is in the center but its moving.
