Why did you use a USB host shield if the Teensy 3.0 can do USB OTG? You could have saved money by just getting a USB OTG cable like this http://www.amazon.ca/Micro-USB-OTG-2-0-Adapter/dp/B005QX7KYU and save yourself some money and a lot of room by not having the host shield, plus it would look much better, one less hole to cut in your DS4
Teensy 3.0 hardware supports otg, but not software. It is not done yet and the last update i read was that not a single line of code is written for host mode support on teensy 3.0.

I'm doing something similar, I am using STM32 as a MCU, which has two USB interfaces that are both capable of OTG, nice eh? I already replicated XIM3's features with it but PS4 is a different story.

ST makes STM32 and they provided most of the USB host code, I added my own hub support to it. Teensy 3 uses Kinetis from Freescale and I think they also provide a USB library, perhaps as a part of their MQX library.

Anyways I just wanted you to be aware of some alternative solutions

Im stuck on L2 and R2. DO they go from pcb to mcp4131 to host shield? Can anyone put up a complete schematic? showing all components wired together please?
Light blue connection goes from pcb to MCP. It does not connect to host shield, unless you mean those SPI connections that are connected together on all devices. I might do a complete schematic at some point.

Great man! I would appreciate it if you do.!

Thanks!

Doesn't look too bad.

But seriously, I would settle foe anything to play bf4 on my ps4 right now, while I wait for the Xim4 to be released.

Even if the board used (or device) is as big as the commodore 64.

my ribbon cable leads pulled up. I replaced that skinny ribbon cable going to the micro usb but when plugged in I am getting no recognition anything is plugged in when I plug it in to the cpu. I have removed all the wires in case I grounded something out but still nothing... any ideas?

His config lacks one critical part: XIM. This is why my version is better.

You sure all 5 wires are connected? Can you take a picture of the connection?

Anyone thinking of doing this mod start with soldering wires to this. Its like the N52te mod where you had to solder wired to the pcb after scratching only the surface is much smaller. If you cant do this, pack up and do something else. Will save you a controller.

Crusade atm: none
