Feedback from the CM guy

G400s + CronusMax:

- Maus DPI max of course
- Battlefield 4 Ingame Sensivitšt bei 60-70% not 100% strange but he says so.
- CM-Software (MaxAIM): "Mouse Settings"/Smoothness auf 50-75%/MouseDPI 8000works well with max DPI G400s

He says its nice and smooth.

Question from a soldering noob - what is the best way to solder the 'Share' and 'Options' from the PCB to teensy? It looks like a very narrow soldering point... Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Question: I finished creating the multipurpose adapter - making sure i had cut the vbus on the usb host shield. that said, when i go to plug in and test for playing 1 with my wired xbox 360 controller, the xbox 360 controller simply blinks once then goes dark - it doesnt hold player 1 like it should.. Any thoughts?

Yes, true wired connection, and no, I have not flashed anything onto the teensy

Now if the Teensy still has blink firmware running that is blinking a led, how do you expect to handle a Controller? Look for VER8 of the firmware and flash it. You will need to press the teensy button for that if you flash it the first time.

Alright.  Moderate success.  I finished the wiring up last night, flashed the teensy (3.1) with ver8/digital triggers and tried to take it for a spin.  Not quite there yet as something isn't quite right

I have player one on the 360 pad, and all of the buttons and the Dpad work in joy.cpl.  Neither of the sticks respond and the x and y values aren't stable (guess I need to check the soldering on the 4151s to the wiper/A/B?).  When I try to calibrate the pad it also "moves" the dpad by itself and thinks I'm hitting buttons that I'm not.  So something is not quite right there.

I wanted to see what would happen if I connected it to the ps4, so I connected it up with my edge/mouse/KB.  It  paired just fine, and now I can power on the PS4 with the xbox controller (yay!).  The WASD on the KB wouldn't work, and neither would the sticks don the pad, but I could move around the menus with the dpad on the 360 controller.  It would fight me though.  Every time I moved  in the menu it would move by itself.

After wrestling with it a bit I was able to get COD:Ghosts to start and jumped into a local game just to see what worked.  Anyhow, my character spins in place and looks straight up, and only the x button and circle button seemed to be working.  I could fire with LMB and ADS with RMB just fine so the triggers work, which I was happy to see.

So I'm now in troubleshooting hell.  I'm going to back up and recheck the soldering on the 4151s and try to get the pad calibrated.  I'm so close.  8)

Yeah not quite a mod without debugging. You using a box or the controller as housing?

Not yet.  I have it in a cardboard box right now just to contain all the wires.  I'll probably head down to radio shack and pick up a plastic enclosure once I have it working.

OK I am asking as the controller one can not work after closing. There is little room and stuff is pressed together.

With everyone having stick issues maybe its a good idea for everyone building one of these to do those first and test.  After the sticks are working, complete the buttons.
