So hows your PS4 playing going with the controller?

Anyone else hating ths controller thing on my ps4? I've got 4 games 3 of which are shooters and it aint goin good guys.

Right now playing Ghost on PS4(the one I'm best at)my KDR  is around .43 . I know I'm not that bad! On Black ops 2 PC my KDR was around 1.2. On Xbox 360 with the XIM it was around a 1.8. It is beyond me how anyone can use 2 sticks to aim. I must have the most retarded thumbs ever.

The run button be on the left thumb stick and having to push it down all the time time is even painfull to me.

Yeah I know I'm bad but Shooters are still my favorite thing to play.

You guys taking the transition to a controller better?

I just have assassins creed for me and I enjoy it. I managed to get through a few games on xbox with just a controller but you will get better with time. Your mind isn't used to it so your skills aren't there. The last true console I used to game on nonstop was N64 and pS1. After that was strickly PC so I suck too but if you force yourself to use it, you will learn again.

low sens is pro go with that trust me thats my best advice

ps4 controller aint bad imo... probably the most accurate I have used that isn't a mouse

Absolutely horrible lol. I have BF4, Ghosts, and Killzone.. all worthless till the new XIM comes out.

Horrible for me too, but only for the FPS's. I got into Warframe last night, and while my aiming might be better with XIM support, it's not as bad as I thought.

my dream is to actually get good at using a controller again, id love to be able to play with friends at homes or go to some local lans events. No one will let me play with mmy xim so id love to get good at a controller again!

I'm not dreading using the controller as much as I used to. Like accord says, you eventually do it. My problem was finding a monitor with unnoticed input lag. It was like magic, where everything felt like it had uncontrollable acceleration, to manageable fumbling. Combat training on blops1 helped me immensely,  too.

Any tips on long range engagements with an assault rifle? I find the low sens and and strafing left and right work. Although, occasionally I'll lose some gunfights. This wasn't a problem with the XIM since the accuracy was there.

Best PS controller to date but still subpar to even the 360 controller simply because of the thumb sticks. Positioning just doesn't work for me. I keep running towards the left side of the screen and then having to adjust lol...

I pretty much had to completely change the way I play in order to compensate for the drastic loss of maneuverability that the KB/M gave me.

I'm used to being able to twitch to the side to aim & now I'm stuck with slowly dragging my reticule over an enemy or increase the sensitivity & it swings all over the place.

Yeah, like mentioned before Straffing works wonders for controllers simply because they're hard to aim with. Strafe and shoot when the sticky aim takes over lol...

I should practice on controller again. Granted I haven't touched one (in a fps) since around 1997 playing goldeneye, but at that time I was absolutely untouchable. Even won a local tourney with ease. Had I stuck with console gaming I would probably be one of the top pad players in today's world lol. But then I bought a pc and found a mouse....the rest is history. I do often wonder if I still got it though and could possibly retrain my thumbs and muscle memory to be as good as the old days of controller gaming heh. Hey Obsiv, add a N64 controller to the compatibility list lol.

It's not been good for me. The controller is great, I'm not so great with it. I don't mind playing 3rd person single player games with the controller sometimes but anything competitive and my skill level is shameful.
