I'm a PS3 player but connection on PS3 is a shame.

I doubt Edge will work with One. I ain't too sure on compatibility with USB 3.0 & 2.0.

Looks like xim lives on Xbox one!!! Confirmed that xbox one will use ONLY wireless controllers but can be tethered via USB to Xbox one for charging but when USB is used, xbox one's wireless controller will shut off wireless transfer and shift to USB data transfer solely!! Basically what the PS3 does right now.  The question is if Xbox one uses USB 3 or USB 2.  Seeing that most PCs have NOT started using USB 3, I think it is still likely to see USB 2 in action.  If not we can always use USB 3 to USB 2 adapters... I mean pfff companies always like to make male and female parts for interconnecting sex xD

Huh... That's odd... Even Microsoft said Xbox one will be on USB 3.0 and battlelog on the BF4 page says Xbox one paired with USB 3.0... Maybe they are using a different micro plug? Or the design still hasn't been rendered fully to USB 3.0

Googled a little. For DS4 all articles say micro-usb. For X1 controller some articles say mini-usb, but it still seems it is micro-usb. So it is 2.0.

And think about it. Where they would need USB3 for? Those are still controllers and dont have any kind of display or something modern. They probably dont even need more speed than what usb 1.1 can offer.

Also DS4 will use Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR for wireless connection. So wired should not require more(?). That would be 3 Mbit/s transfer speed. USB 1.1 has 12 Mbit/s transfer speed.

Doesn’t look like micro to me its much thinner than what we see on the controllers.
