My dads old roommate from the air force trained Shepards, he has some excellent stories much like this one. But mostly of him being a test subject with one of those protective suits lol.

Haha yeah man the bite suits are actually a lot of fun, most of the time before you can even begin the process of purchasing a personal protection animal you have to get bit. The power of being bit by them even in the 50lb bite suit it feels like getting hit by car. It's pretty intense to say the least.

10/10 would lol again.

I own a Doberman Pincher and have looked at getting a German Shepard (not in the budget right now though).

I completely understand what you mean when you say you are afraid that people wouldn't understand if they saw the video. These are amazing animals - smart, inquisitive, loyal, loving, playful, protective ... and sometimes vicious as the need arises.
I swear to god I will bring forth a rage so complete in it's fury that your innards would boil from the sheer amount of energy pouring from your monitor.

Rook said everything that can be said.

I'm glad you see it that way too. I love the breed way too much to take the risk of hurting the name of German Shepherd. Besides the fact of being a horrible handler/owner by posting a video of the event.

Exactly.

If you post anything it should be the lighter side, so that people see what great animals they are.

My parents have had a German shepherd for about 9 years now. Got him as a rescue and hes mixed with something. He's big, 120lbs gentle giant. Just basic obedience training though, but when he was younger he liked to chase people and knock them over with his paws. No biting so it was pretty hilarious.

haha great story! Did it make it on the news lol? I took in a GS as a rescue that was almost a year old...bad idea. he loved My family (wife and 2 daughters and two small dogs) but not anything else. he killed my neigbors cat...I have the pic of white Fluffy (no joke that was the cats name) blodied and in the grass my wife sent me after Max killed in front of my Girls. Then a week later he killed another cat :( I had to get rid of him after that, but one day i will be getting a GS thats a pup. I want a trained one as well. I have always loved that thought of owning one.

Yeah tell me about it. I was pretty bumbed, but wasnt sure if anyone could press chargers against me for my dog killing their cat. My neigbors were ok and not too upset, but thier kids were kinda sad. parents hated the cat. The other cat was a neighbor across the street...never talked to them about :/ Felt really bad about the whole situation, but definatly a lesson learned.
