Two long weeks I've been asking and asking and asking people on here about WHAT are the bindings on a Logitech attack 3 joystick for X,Y rotations in battlefield 3, So i can fly jets. NO ONE Replys!!!! And I'm clearly not the only one that's asked about this. And they've been given NO response. Lets hope a little "Consumer respect" Gets handed out and this doesn't see the same fate as the other people that have posted similar issues to mine.

I've looked literally EVERYWHERE on this @#$% website. and NOTHING has caught my eye.

(Apparently XimEdge is compatible with this particular joystick. BUT, lacks in the support around the AXIS ROTATION of the joystick) All I'm seeing is "Vertical and horizontal axis" support.

Can someone PLEASE, just help me out with a list of Binding codes so I can use my joystick and the hardware that I purchased from THIS ^^^^^ Company.

Thanks

lol, i doubt anyone here feels like giving you a helpfull advice after that rant... ::)

you seem to forget that his forum support is nothing you bought with the xim, its not like you have a certain claim on support from anyone in here
so dont act like you paid for the product and now have a claim as you use a function that barely got used thus pretty much no information are known  ::)

i told you earlier that you are one among very few that
1) like to use a joystick
2) use xemulate

it takes time to get a response, even up to a month in your case
if no one replies, you might even be the first to encounter the problem, which means its up to yourself to solve the issue and let future people know about the solution

but yeah, shouting and screaming definitely shortens the time  ::)

Excuse me!!!!

Acting like I paid for the product???

Would you like me to send you a copy of the XIMEDGE purchase receipt?? Would you like me to send you proof of me purchasing it with MY bank account?!?!?
Your false judgement astounds me, yet your field of "Expertise" makes me shake my head!
If I figure this out myself. Then I paid for a product that fails to give etiquette support!

Why build something if you haven't covered all fields of the software and attachments?!?!?

1- If I'm one of the very few that use joysticks, Why even waste your time testing the joysticks? Better yet. Why do all the testing. Then confirming it as "usable" and not supplying "understandable" info?!?

If I end up fixing it myself. Maybe I should apply for a job with NASA as a rocket scientist!

Timeframe.
Someone posted a topic similar to this one back in 2011 and yet got no response... You were saying???

I'm not ranting btw. If I was "mad" or "upset", I'd ring my bank and get them to do a refund on the Xim & I'd send it back.

Odin is saying that by buying the XIM you didn't buy help on the forums. While the community is generally very helpful and willing to work through issues with those who post here, it's not guaranteed.

From what Odin posted, it seems that your question was addressed earlier. The point being that every device and every ability of every device is not guaranteed to be compatible, especially when bridging through a 3rd party emulator. Often members must be a large part of their own solution. Can it be done? We certainly hope so. But please understand that these situations are an incredibly small percentage of the ownership of all XIMs.

And speaking as a regular guy with no official tie to XIM, your post did come off as a little "rantish". Hopefully you can figure out how to use your special actions on the joystick. Just be aware that some members here can be a little sensitive to entitlement syndrome.
I swear to god I will bring forth a rage so complete in it's fury that your innards would boil from the sheer amount of energy pouring from your monitor.

Rook said everything that can be said.

something that you dont want to understand stryk3r is that no one in this forum is getting payed for helping you
therefore if you arent kind enough with your questions, no one will ive a duck about your problems
next to that, the rarer and specific the question is, the more time it needs to get an proper answer

also

you are using an user based programm called xemulate
this programm was written by a forum member who has nothing to do with the xim product itself, all he did was to make the former xemulate compatible with the xim3 and xim edge

you cannot expect community based programms to run like commercialized programms, it was a one man project and therefore also works as one
yet its the only programm that allows joysticks to run properly

now if that programm doesnt work for you, theres absolutly no reason in blaming the xim, us or anyone else in that forum

Isn't the attack3 directly supported? W11ce use it for his Teensy programming. If yes someone should show this guy how to map the buttons?!

Yes it is supported, but he needs(?) custom joystick mapping that is not supported.

stryk3r, have you tried to change "jet sticks" in bf3 options? You might be able to get what you want with that. (Sorry if you have tried already, too lazy to read all messages)

For xemulate part i have no idea how to configure that. I have always programmed my own app for my needs :D

Wow.  Entitlement at its finest.
I figured out that the YOBO worked best on PS3 with XIM1 in 2008.  Like, eons ago.  I’m old.

I can understand his frustration, he has a joystick that's supported but axis rotation isn't there. I don't know the circumstances for this, for all I know it's supposed to work? Obsiv or Orbital would know.

OP,

Otherwise there may have been a reason it wouldn't work natively in which case you can start talking with programmers working with xim bridge. At the moment I think W11cE is the only one. (sorry to throw you under the bus :)

All joysticks natively supported are X,Y axis and buttons only.

Tried all of the above. NOTHING works!

Now. Obsiv. X,Y Axis work? But no rotation??

Why is it an approved Xim attatchment if its NOT fully supported? Kinda misleading in my opinion. Lol

I guess I'll just bust out my C++ and do some macros and get one of my good mates to make a program of my own.

The Attack 3 has no rotation. Only X- and Y-axis. But you are only able to bind it on the left analog stick, which makes joystick support useless for XIM-Edge in my opinion. Only the G13 analog stick makes sense here. This is why I still use my XIM3. You can bind the joystick on the right analog stick on the controller and use the keyboard for the left analog stick, which is an excellent combination for flying jets in BF3 or other games.

It has been quite a while since the last firmware update, but I haven't completely given up on the Edge. At least the swap stick request is still on the feature request list.

To consider to have this feature back for the XIM4. Didn’t even realize it was discarded.

Not sure. I read 'axis rotation' so I thought he meant the z-rotation, not z-axis aka slider.
And if that was the question, no the slider does not work and is not bindable.
