good night sweet cod

Battlefield fans (including myself) have been saying this since BFBC. Battlefield is not a COD killer. Only COD can kill COD.

Yep, back when I was a huge BF fan I use to think that too. Though, BF3 came closer than any other shooter to matching COD's success (I don't get why people are so fixated on the destruction of one or the other).

To really get to where COD is at BF would need to cut down on the bull @#$% and pick up the pace as far as getting back into combat or getting stuck in a base without a vehicle and no option than to hoof it for 10 minutes before you see some action. They would also need to make combat less restrictive like in the BF2 days instead of BF3 where it takes half a magazine to kill someone, a minute to reload, and a minute to get up from prone. They'd also need to deal with retarded team mates doing everything they can to make you rage.

Yeah BF2 was tons of fun and so was BF1942 w/ all the mods.

I see why they are releasing it for PS3  (Money) but how is it going to run on PS3 as it is a next gen game.. BF3 on the console is grainy enough as it is... Once the PS4 is out I will buy both together.

Battlefield is such an awesome game. It's always fun because of what you can do in it.

Yes... like going sniper/camper hunting in the mountains with a Jeep and some C4.

For anyone curious about the ps4s specs it will have 8 gigs of ram, a radeon 7870 underclocked and an 8 core bulldozer clocked at 1.6 ghz. The stuff is underclocked to save power.

Sounds like it's a good time to build a PC... They should sell a tower version for those who want a serious machine. Why the 125w bulldozer? Is that thing really running 8 cores under clocked 1.6ghz?

Can you all see that running bf4 at 60fps 1080p?

Didn't they do that with the PSP when developers complained?

Beta: By pre-ordering the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition on Origin.com, by being a Battlefield 3: Premium member, and by being a registered owner of Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition. More information on the exclusive Battlefield 4 Beta at a later date.

There is suppsed to be a premium BF4 offering in about 3 months .. right now Dice doesn't know the final cost so their not offering a full premium package.  I'm personally not preording untill I can buy the full BF4 premium with a deal enclosed.  ;D

Some russian sites are claiming the bf4 beta will still be available to all bf3 premies... just with a delayed access.

whoops .. it was official in this March video.

..another thing .. Rumors are Steam will be selling BF4 to help take the server strain off Origin. Ea is trying not to have another Sim City accident with Bf4's expected launch server overload.

New Patch:

Haven't played it for a couple of weeks but patch promises lots of goodness.

My favorite is:

-Fixed a bug where red laser dots would get stuck on textures

I've probably played the first level of bf4 a dozen times now. How can a bug that deletes your save game make it past QC?

EA and DICE both deserve all the bad press for how mismanaged the BF4 deployment has been.

Anyone playing on xbox one have terrible packetloss on the 64 player conquest maps? I don't see the packet loss on the smaller game modes, so I am thinking this is another feature we can thank DICE/EA for.
