Good metal album coming out...

if you're into that sort of thing. One of my favorite bands for a long time, considered melodic death metal but at this point id just kinda consider it metal... love these teaser tracks though.

Soilwork is one of my favorite bands ever. Steelbath Suicide, The Chainheart Machine, A Predator's Portrait, and Natural Born Chaos were all amazing albums. The pinnacle of gothenburg metal (along with old In Flames and Dark Tranquillity). I haven't liked much after those albums but this new one seems solid so far, I'm excited for it.

Yea theres a couple songs i like after those albums but not whole albums... i cant listen to in flames anymore theyre stuck somwhere in between things i like and in something i dont like.

Yes this double album seems very promising though.

Figure No. 5 had a few decent songs on it as well as Stabbing The Drama. Nothing great though.

Yeah most of Reroute to Remain and everything after it was pretty terrible. They went downhill fast.

That first song sounds exactly like one of Lucca Turilli's/Rhapsody's riffs can't recall the song's name though. The second one sounds like new In Flames and the Miss May I sounds like old In Flames. Pretty much every other thing that's been coming out in the past 10 years either sounds like it's either heavily influenced by them or straight up ripping them off.

I thought in flames and all those bands were ripping off at the gates... but i like the soilwork vocals way better than the in flames dude.

They were around at the same time so it's hard to tell who's responsible for the sound. There's really only one At the Gates song that sounds In Flamish, terminal spirit something. Their other melodic songs sound closer to Dark Tranquility.

My first metal show was pantera on the far beyond tour w/ @#$% slayer.... man ever since ive loved metal... i was like 13 though and got the @#$% kicked out of me during raining blood... its funny though ppl are such @#$% now.
