My Razer DeathAdder 2013 6400dpi feedback
« on: 10:15 AM - 01/16/13 »
Hi. I know this was a well debated thing. Some said those new Razer models doesnīt have onboard memory, yet XIM couldnīt recognize DPI profile, only in Synapse 2.0 on PC, etc etc.

So I just bought a DeathAdder 2013, Optical Sensor 6400dpi Mouse, and I can confirm you can save the profile to your mouse. Factory DPI is 1800, Installed Synapse 2.0 on my PC and put DPI to 6400 as well as Polling Rate to 1000hz, and turned Wheel Light OFF. Then disconnected the mouse and uninstalled synapse, connected the DA 2013 again and the wheel light stills off and the speed was huge (6400dpi instead of default 1800).

Connected it to the XIM and wheel light still off.

So yes, for anyone wanting to know this, DA 2013 has onboard memory and works with XIM with his High DPI setting of 6400.

This is great news, because I only play with Optical Sensor, much better for FPS gaming, and most important thing, Optical Sensors work better with XIM, keep that in mind. Did several testing, they are much more responsive and you get real 1:1, donīt even try to debate this because Iīm obsessed with these things and spent hours of testing, trial and error etc.

So there you go, if you want the highest possible DPI Optic Sensor Mouse, DeathAdder 2013 is for you.

I wonīt comment on its performance with XIM yet, because I didnīt play with it. Iīm gonna play and then  I report back, but yes, the dream came true. I have a 6400dpi Optical Sensor mouse for my Xim Edge!

Cheers

I just got my new deathadder 2013 yesterday and messed around with it all day. i used the razer program to set my dpi to 6400. i then plugged it into my xim to play and found that it felt slower than my old mouse (g500 with 5700dpi) and had to raise all my sen. it was bugging me all day, so today i plugged the death adder into my computer and used the xim bridge. there was an immediate difference. I had to move all my sen. way down. I have been playing like this for a couple hours now and I can say this mouse is amazing when using it thru your computer and getting to use this mouse to its full potential.

Yes but I wanted this on Edge Section, as itīs the product I own and as we can see there are already differences. Ketchumcody needed usb transfer cable to enable high DPI, on Edge you donīt need that.

Maybe the edge has something to do with it keeping its dpi at 6400 but i tried numerous times on my xim3 to stay at 6400 with no luck. But using it through the computer kept all its settings and it is an amazing mouse. it is so comfortable that i forget i'm even holding and i go to slide my hand to the right and find myself trying to run my pinky finger over.

Actually I returned the mouse today. Iīm a mouse claw grip guy and couldnīt stand the palm on DA 2013. Also the mouse had some tracking issues, wich I found XIM to have with all Laser mice, even that DA 2013 is optical.

Iīve yet to find a mouse for XIM that works better than G400/Razer Abyssus. Iīm obssessed with this things and tested tons of mice, and truste me when I say. Nothing can beat G400 or Abyssus with a Speed Mouse Mat. Itīs more responsive and accurate. I give up of buying expensive HighDpi Mouse with tons of tech inside. Theyīre not up to it for XIM. Iīm always correcting mouse position because at some milisecond the mouse stops tracking, thatīs awful and both G400/Abyssus doesnīt have that problem. The only ones.

I have the 3500 deathadder, i tried turning the lights off on it using the Synapse 2.0 program on PC, but the lights are still on when connected to my edge.
Does that mean if i turn the DPI down it wont save the settings when connected to the edge, and only ever run on the default?

If you download the previous driver before synapse 2.0 it definitely saves dpi settings to on-board memory, I have the 3500 deathadder, don't think you can get the older drivers to work with the 2013 deathadder

Emanuel,

Can we get a final answer as to if the DPI settings can be saved to the DeathAdder 2013's on-board memory? ketchumcody seems to be reporting quite the opposite.

ketchumcody,

I've never used the Synapse 2.0 software so I'm not aware of its features, but with my Logitech Setpoint program I have two options for saving profiles and they both function separately. There is a "Burn" function which saves the profile to the hardware on the mouse, and there is a "Save" function which just saves the profile to the computer so when the computer sees the mouse, it automatically loads that profile (which is what it sounds like it's doing when you have your XIM connected to your PC).

I bought the Razer Deathadder 2013 today, Optical Sensor is brilliant just like the Zowie EC1.

I can confirm you can save the 6400 dpi setting on the mouse & use it with the XIM EDGE!  ;D
Set the DPI to 6400 and click save on the Synapse software, Unplug from the PC & plug into the XIM.

I noticed there isn't DPI switches on the mouse so I made Mouse 5 Dpi Cycle as I use 2300 dpi on PC, The DPI Cycle button does not work while plugged into the XIM which isn't a big deal as long as it's set to 6400 dpi before plugging it in you should be good to go  :)
I just wanted to say that you are a phenomenal gamer. You make it look so easy and your gameplay has this commanding "tone" to it (i.e. not frantic -- more of a dominating calm :) ).
