keyboard mode

Am I missing something or is there no way to go into " keyboard mode" like if you just plugged a usb keyboard straight into the xbox? I feel this would be extremely useful for people sending messages or trying to look things up on the new browser or for movie searching.  I would think it wouldnt be too bad to do since it would basically be pressing a button for the xim to act like it's not there and it's just a usb hub

Welcome to the community. This is a feature others have requested, however, no, it isn't possible. Best you can do right now is use a USB switch to swap between your Edge and your Xbox.
