1800dpi>5900dpi for sniping

so i've been playing (MW,WAW,MW2,BO,MW3) for the past cpl of weeks on max dpi with the G500. i decided to scale it right down to 1800dpi for experimental purposes. woah.. so much more accurate.
only drawback is i cant jump in air from a standing position and do a 720 anymore but meh, i'd rather land more shot's than be able to spin quickly.
this may be common knowledge to some but, all i kept reading here was that the higher the DPI the better..
not the case, well atleast not for sniping anyway.

Depends on the type of player you are. I am better off on lower sens and lower dpi. Just because I'm better with those doesn't mean I always like it. I sometimes crave high sensitivities for some strange reason, haven't figured it out. Always end up not liking it and moving it back down though.

Moral of the story is to stay with what your best at, but don't be afraid to try new things. I always feel like I can better myself by trying a new set up or config or sens.

It seems your turn speed is very high if you can do 720 and not the same with 1800 dpi so it's normal to be more accurate.If you lower your xim sensitivity while using 5700 dpi you may get the same feeling as in 1800 dpi.

lol it would take me 2ft to do a 720

You need to make sure your surface is good for laser and clean if you play on high dpi as well

For example right now i'm using my couch which does not work well on 5700dpi

I also use the G500 and use around 1800 DPI, I use to have a G5 before my G500 and I think the max dpi was 1800.

In my openion 1800 is the sweet spot.

A lot of people running 1800 so may be it is the sweet spot, I run 3200 on the G400 I use to run max dpi on the G500 and G700 and Razor Imperator.

my hip sensitivity is always very high but, it is the ballistics curve im using that enabled me to 720 so easily, i think i used Zombies guy curve? i made my own ADS curve, they are pasted in the ballistics thread incase anyone's interested in trying them.
As far as lowering my sensitivity on 5700dpi, there was a fine line between too sensitive and not responsive enough, it was too hard to fine tune.
