New XIM software test video

Oh. Well cool! That definitely makes sense. And L4D is pretty popular and one of the tough ones to get a good config for so I imagine that'll get the treatment pretty early on.

I haven't tried this game out yet with the XIM.. If it's bad, I will definitely be depressed..

Is there any guesstimate on when this wonderful software will be releasing?

Yeah i cant wait for this software to be released and test it, i'm going to smoke my second cuban if it helps discover a perefect config! I smoked the first when i recieved my XIM (international customer)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the current way to configure for COD4/5 fine as it is? I was under the impression that the team was only going to be creating profiles for games that needed it. As far as I know, COD4/5 work great with the XIM2 (I love my current config!), so there shouldn't be a need for creating a profile for it....

Then again, I'm just a user and can't see it from your standpoint. Excuse me for my ignorance.

Ease of configuration was the other goal for the new system. So, even though XIM2 performs well as is with COD, it's still difficult to configure (that is, anything more than just a "sensitivity" knob is difficult for a lot of people).

Yes, standardizing what was in the past more of an opinion is the best way to go. I made the same analogy in another post but the old system was more of an art and the new system is an exact science. When working with precision and detail its best not to leave anything to interpretation.

I think there are literally only two people that actually know what's going on with the proto's development, so "it's ready when it's ready" is probably the best thing you're going to hear.  Granted it doesn't help you all who don't have the software, but I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles for now.

If and when OBsIV makes it readily available there will be an announcement, you won't need to ask.

I thought i had a pretty good config with the original halo 3 software.
Obsiv was kind to let me try out his new Halo 3 config software.  After a couple weeks, I went back and tried my original Halo 3 config.  How horrible it was.  lol
