i think a blackdot autoforce is not the best solution
you will lack micromovements, even in slow vehicles, eg when being in a tank, theres use for micromovements

winnnnnniee is currently testing a software for pc that converts your mouse into a joystick
im sure he will give feedback on how it works with the xim and a transfer cable

A little far off the solutions mentioned above but related.  I wondered about somehow tapping into the PS3's MOVE functionality where the eye would actually be the mouse camera but without the actual accelerometers.  MOVE's functioning in 3d space probably makes it not possible or practical and then limited to only applicable PS3 MOVE titles which would probably not fly since the XIM Edge is now a X-platform Input Machine.   Like the new acronym OBsIV? Anyway, just an idea I had to throw out there since MOVE was sort of a mouse and joystick combined with regard to how it functions in game.

AWESOME.  Can't wait to try it.  Do I have to be a registered "rc" tester or something, or I can I just grab it?

(Where is the beta section?)

yes you need to be beta tester

that means giving feedback, not just grad the unreleased firmware
if you want to contribute with feedback, then feel free to register to beta testers through your forum profile - group organisation
