First thing, Xim deserves a shout out- this unit worked great right out of the box and is worth every dollar.  Exactly as advertised.

I play the Battlefield franchise on PC and have been playing COD BO2 on PS3 so that is what I have to compare.

For PS3 I use Razer Mamba Mouse (set at 5600 DPI and 1000 polling rate) and Razer Lycosa Keyboard on a 23" 1080p Asus monitor.  (I have set COD BO2 mouse sensitivity to Insane.)

As I already mentioned, the Xim worked great out of the box, but I was wearing a hole in my Wowpad and was really working my wrist.  So, I bumped up the sensitivity in the Xim manager and was very pleased.

Then it was time to see what the Ballistic Curves were all about so I started reading the Xim message board and it was at that point I noticed that everyone's Sensitivity was set very low compared to my settings.  I was curious so I pasted some curves found on this thread and it helped me better understand the characteristics of the ballistic curve functionality.  Thanks to all who posted their examples.

That being said, the following configuration works for me but I will continue to tweak and would appreciate any input.  Thanks for reading.

Again, this XIM has only been used on COD BO2.

I am curious if maybe I am doing something wrong that would require such a high sensitivity; any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have to laugh and thought I would mention my experience going back to Battlefield 3 on PC after putting considerable time into COD BO2 on PS3.  Well, I could not control my mouse at all because it was all over the place and had to reduce DPI to around 3000 and I was not at all accurate.  Well, I played BF3 the next day and was able to get my DPI back up to around 4500 where I normally play on PC.  (Note: my PC mouse in-game sensitivity is set around 80-85% and I can not run at full 5600 DPI because it is too fast).

Most recently I have bumped my sensitivity up to 375 mouse and 325 ADS

I would like to max out sensitivity settings if I could get a curve that works well on fine aiming; I have seen "killcams" and viewed in 3rd person players moving much faster than I can achieve so far and still be functional.

I am also in need of some guidance. What i think i understand, by reading the pdf and threads,  is that looking at the graph, the bottom mouse velocity line is how fast the mouse moves. the side vertical aim velocity line is how fast the aiming is. So, what I wanted, was when I ads, it would be normal speed when I sweep a room, but when i see somebody across the room, naturally the mouse slows down to pinpoint the body, when the mouse slows down I want the aiming to almost completely halt. So again, as i sweep the room in ADS I want normal fast movement as i move the mouse fast, but extra slow movements when I move the mouse very slow to pinpoint.

After hours upon hours and 100+ unplugging and so on, this is what i feel very comfortable playing with, but im worried I may have it wrong.

G400, 1800 DPI



When I move the mouse at normal speed, I get a boost, when the mouse is moving at a slower speed the crosshair barely moves, letting me pinpoint a headshot, even from far far away, using the M8A1 or the FAL. I play Hardcore only, the first shot gets the kill.

* I am using Zombieguy's 2 profile trick. There are no ballistics enabled elsewhere, only the 2nd profile's ADS.

Profile 1   hip  128.50
               ads  0
Profile 2   hip  345
               ads  345

After the final tweaking of the above graph, I played match after match and it felt really smooth when I wanted to move fast and sticky when I wanted precision. Here is a screenshot of a game using these ballistics, this is just one of many many games where Ive been called a modder, or hacker, or aimbot user and the after game rant "Theres no way he can shoot all of us that fast, hes modding". And I feel great.

New Ballistic inbound. Been using this for 1 month, I found it easier to 180 and 360 and also I found it to be easier to aim with this. Already asked Obsiv why itīs easier to stay in enemy hitbox using Ballistics instead of 1:1 ST. I canīt understand why but it really changes it all:

Hi guys, i received the xim edge i try to set up for battlefield 3 ps3 but in ballistic curve i try to reach the same setting recomendation zombieguy but i can't get the results some gamers has shooting fast and kill very quick and has movement very quick and fast i need some recommendations for that matter and thanks everybody this is my first time to enter respectousity in this forum i waiting for a recommendation.  :)

Hi everyone. I'm a pretty mediocre to bad FPS player, but I can't help but play them. I was looking to get to a point where I can actually start to compete and contribute to the games I play in. That's why I got the Edge. I finally mapped a curve that feels right to me. Thank you to everyone who has shared their ballistics as I have literally tried them all. The last one I tried was the one from Emanuel, it was pretty close to feeling natural to me but I had to tweak it to get it to this point. I'm using a G700 @ 5700 dpi, aim assist is on, and I'm playing Blops2 on Xbox. I will probably still need to do a little fine tuning, but it is definitely helping me stay off the bottom of the score list so far. I do hit the speed limiter often with this, but I just turned off the notification. Sorry for the long windedness of this post, but I thought it was only right to throw in my 2 cents and maybe help someone in the same situation. Here it is. Tried to attach a picture, but I can't figure it out right now. Let me know how to if you want me to put it up.

Doesn't anyone use a trackball???????? I have a Logitech T-BC21 I just finally hooked up. Have yet to play with the curves but will certainly try a few posted from here unless someone has a specific one that pertains to the trackball.

anyone found a balistic curve witch is close to getting rid of the turn speed limit , because surely someone has found a curve witch allows fast movement when you move your mouse fast instead of a bigger distance across the mouse mat , because i have boxed up my xim and going to most likely sell it at this rate as i can get on with it as i was good with pad just got xim to be better as im good at cod pc , so anyone wanna help me out so i dont sell this xim as i dont want to sell it but most likely will ..

Lexuz with my Ballistic I never reach turn speed limit. Only on vertical movements (as itīs easier to reach the cap vertically) but those moments are rare. If you like a snappy config in wich you can maintain good accuracy while fast turning i suggest you try my ballistic curve.

Well A lot of people have been PMing me because of some of my comments about GOW3 and how to be competitive at this game. So reluctant as I've been I decided to share my ballistics for this game. These are the two that I use and have spent hrs. fine tuning. Hope it helps someone.

Emanuel, your Ballistic Curves and the sensitivity it comes with is FLAWLESS. I'm impressed how much better it is with these curves on.

I tried these ballistics with Borderlands 2, and hip works quite well, but found ADS slow, so I bumped it up a bit. Works with Crysis 3, BF3 and Downpour too! Even tho there's no ST for it, I added these curves to the Dark Souls ST, and yes, the aim didn't really move faster because there's no sensitivity option in the game, but it felt more responsive, the micro-movements were effected but not a great deal, as Mist said to me, Downpour isn't about precision.

Those curves are equivalent to increasing your sensitivity (they are linear).

My sensitivity is quite high anyway, but these curves had a lower setting than mine, but felt slightly faster, and I didn't feel the speed cap breaking for faster movements. My sensitivity was 72. :P

Hi Emanuel,

Bit confused about curves, when I change the sensitivity to match my play style, am I a way modifying your curve, hence making my own curve.  asking as when i paste your curve my sensitivities change to yours.
