Yeah that would theoretically possible but its too large to fit any cost plus its extremely ugly and I would not know why :)

Cant get 2.5mm wide Aluminium but 2.0 is enough if you turn around the joystick and exchange the sides on each potentiometer drum.

@#$% the top part wont fit by a millimeter and nothing I can do about that have to rebend, this time i will measure the bend at the exact corner. This mod really comes down to bending.

Its done!

I took the whole crate out again bent it with some pliers leaving some scars and irregularities. So if you want to do this the spacer has to fit exactly. If you cant bend it exactly up to the millimetre you can just forget it. I cant do it better right now. This can be done very clean with some practice.

I will I play on the sofa so instead of beside me like the N52te I will have it on my lap. My first feel is the N52te is more comfy but we will see in action, just need an Edge.

The keyboard is held up by marshmallows and the Joystick.

Hmm Stetab it seem very comfy playing around with it, no game yet though. One thing, as the thumb does not rest on the mushroom, meaning there is less pressure on it, the mushroom must be bevelled or soft rubber or you easily slip down. The MS controller mushroom should be best.

Btw Obsiv, if you like the idea feel free to patent the Joystick location, I am quite sure this is possible. I dont think anyone has had the idea before.  I would love a red Cherry XIM keyboard that does not need the joystick to be connected to a controller. Should be easy for you to make and would be a cool input device. So the idea is yours if you like.
Oh and the esc key must be the XIM sign. :)

Played a bit of MW3 on PC and its comfy but not as comfy as a N52te, its more like a G13. This wont replace my N52 but its good.

OK itís a normal keyboard again and I took the spacer out. Itís a great position for the joystick but the keyboard simply gets too thick to play on the lap on the sofa. The N52te is still so much better. So for PC its WASD as the games do not support full analogue motion there anyway.

seems like it could still work for desktop people as long as you have a wrist rest of some sort
