ANALYSES: XIM Edge vs XIM 3 -What are the differences?

Lack of switchers via holding a button is a step backwards, otherwise, the Edge is the superior product.

The logic for the lack of switchers doesn't connect for me. If it's because Edge is aiming to be mass marketed and taking away this feature means it would less likely be viewed as a cheating device; most or many gaming mice have on board memory type switching already. Not cheating.

If the rationale is to encourage future customers to possibly choose the more expensive XIM3; this is unlikely, since most new customers will want PS3 support. Current XIM3 owners would be more inclined to upgrade to a XIM Edge since it's universally better if switchers was enabled.

can people stop flaming this thread and keep it to topic? i have a xim2 and xim3... and i'm really thinking about getting the edge, but not sure if its better than the xim3... i like that it holds more ST's but i really do like the screen of the xim3... when will a xim be made with a SD card reader or somethin to we can put a bunch of games on it... thats the part that sux IMO... being stuck with only 5 ST's on the xim3 is horrible for the price... the edge looks more price efficient and has double the memory but not as easy to use =/

I had the same worries but XIM edge is becoming my go to xim even for xbox 360. At first i was worry i would not like to have to look at lights but after using it for a while is not longer an issue. If you have a ps3 = edge, if you have both consoles = edge, even if you own just an xbox = edge, but if you are hard core gamer or consider yourself one and just have an xbox = XIM3.

he means XIM3 > XIMEdge if you only have Xbox.

The screen is not worth almost double price. Its kind of useless when you play. Ballistics is superior to smart advanced. If you guys can convince Obsiv to make the config change keys to change the config until held and revert back when released then its:

EDGE>>>>>XIM3

Based on everything I've read here and all the similarities. It comes down to one simple thing for me. Can you adj. X and Y sensitivity individually with the edge like you can with the XIM3? This is a huge deal for me as for whatever reason I have to always have Y faster. If not I choose the XIM3. I just hope I can buy one "NEW" without paying $300.00!
