Hardware kb/joystick/mouse Support
« on: 10:06 AM - 04/29/12 »
Will the XIM Edge have the same hardware compatibility that the XIM3 has?

Mostly I'm curious if the Edge will work with the Sony NAV controller on the PS3? It's what I currently use on the XBox 360 with the Razer Naga mouse.

Thanks,
Gren

Yes, it uses similar hardware drivers. That said, as the codebase has changed, we will need to verify everything again. Sony Nav does work.

Thanks OBsIV! Since the Edge has native PS3 support, I was curious if the NAV would have had any conflicts with the NAV since it already is supported by the PS3, but I'm sure you thought of that beforehand. ;)
Looking forward to getting a XIM Edge!

Its a good question. Its wired, so, there is no question about who the device is paired with.

Will the Edge still work with the Easy Transfer cable?  I currently use the Naga Hex and have to go through Xim Bridge to get it to work.  I just want to make sure I can keep using it with the new product.

Absoultely, XIM Edge supports the Peripheral Bridge. It also uses it for the new realtime mouse ballistics curve editor.

just editing & sending to the device, or having the PC live change everything?
