Is this info still relevant? After seeing the availability issues with the pre-built units I'm thinking about going the build your own route and this looks pretty simple to do after wrangling all the components. How does it stack up performance wise to the XIM2 or XIM360?

Depends on the game. COD series is ok with xim1.

Does anyone know where I can buy the tool stick for a low shipping fee? I live Canada and I'm getting ludicrous shipping quotes ranging from 20 to 60 dollars. This is the only component I need now.
It's actually pretty comfortable.....

I see no one has replied to this thread for months, is it the exact same setup? There are also different forums for XIM 1 and 2, This is all the same, just with the XIM2 software, correct?

XIM1 and XIM2 are different devices with different software.

I can't seem to find the FlashUtil. I found my old XIM1 stored in a box and I need to reflash my toolkit as it seems it keeps randomly disconnecting on me while playing my PS3 :(
