How to make subtle mouse movements when sniping
« on: 05:04 PM - 11/01/11 »
Hey guys. Just got the XIM3 and I am loving it! The only problem I have is with very fine/subtle movements such as when sniping. It just seems jumpy and not smooth. Is there a way to address this issue? Using a Logitech G500 mouse.

There is a new firmware drop coming out tonight. Please try that out and report back how sniping feels.

Sounds good. And thanks for the quick reply. Seriously it's my only gripe so far. Amazing product!

Battlefield 3. Settings are as follows:

DPI: max
Speed: OS
Acceleration: OS
Report Rate: 500

Not sure what a "setpoint" setting is though. I don't see it in the settings.

Oh I do have setpoint options but the only option I have is to update, which I have. I also have a burn option in my profile manager and have done that as well.

6-7? What are you referring to?

A scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the fastest.

I also have the same problem with BF3 and close zooming and aiming smoothly. The update I have is the 1.00.20111031, and the XIM3 did not want to update on plugging into the PC.

Using Logitech M510, but I had an old Logitech ME-UAE96 (wired) that performed identically.
I have sensitivity up to "max" on the game.
Mouse sensitivity is oddly set to 380.00...?
Secondary mouse is also set to 380.00...?
Seems awfully high to me, but anything under that it moves to slow and the mouse is halfway across the table when I aim.
Also, the "setpoint app" from Logitech does not match the setpoint app I see on the instructional videos. So I have no idea how to change all those little settings. I even downloaded G500 setpoint app, and its the same app...(6.32.7).

What DPI is your mouse. Yes, 380 is insanely high (which would indicate that something is wrong with your config).

Looks like I need a wired mouse, not wireless. DOH

510 is just 800DPI. Its got no one board so set point wont work. You need to tap the +DPI button a couple of times upon start up every time you turn the xim3 on.

800 is far to low for the XIM3. You'll never get a decent experience even with very low sens. Judging by your XIM3 sens get yourself the G500 and use setpoint to get it to its max DPI
