Auto reload after a few shots

Hi All Hope someone can help

Just bought me xim1 today for my ps3 and everything works fine except in cod5 when I fire my weapon it automatically reloads after a couple shots with an auto and 1 shot with a hand gun.

Any ideas it's doing my head in
