Just curious about mice / keyboard set up .
« on: 03:05 AM - 01/23/08 »

So , I 'm a lefty and I was wondering since the XIM  is sent through the pc . Can I use my G3 and the sensivity setting within windows ? I can't use the mx518 worth a crap . I'd like to be able to program my mouse (side)buttons like I do for pc games... Is this possible  ? I'm a little confused  ..  :P
What mice are you guys using ? Any of you left handers out there?

Yes you can program the side buttons on the mouse which are called mouse forward and mouse back. However, since you are a lefty you may want to consider a mouse from the likes of razer who make a left/right mouse. However, dual handed mice usually don't have the side buttons for some odd reasons. Which leads me to recommend one that has 2 buttons that are 1 on each side.

As far as being a righty for the keyboard, the Merc Zboard Fang, or Thermaltake Flare keyboard should do you nicely for both lefty and righty set ups since its made for both.

I use a 7600 creative labs 2400dpi mouse and a merc zboard. I do have a mx518, but the 1600dpi I feel is not high enough to keep it snappy.

Thanks for the reply !  Yea I have the G3 logitech mouse which has 2 buttons on the side that are easy to reach. I have the Thermaltake Flare..and the Fang. So I am good on that part...
I'm just trying to figure out how I am going to set up my speakers since I am using my monitor on the 360 . Guess the Aux jack on my soundcard will have to work somehow. I think I am going to need an adapter or two .
AHH ..FOUND AN EXCELLENT TUTORIAL  on how to run your pc speakers AND on setting up the XIM/360 THROUGH USING YOUR EXISTING PC . ...
