perfectly fine for me (though i'm more comfortable with WASD)  i just have a personal issue of having my left trigger finger too close to the trigger and constantly diving or going prone unexpectedly... but that's not an issue with the nav, that's just me being to tense while playing.
have the run button on the low trigger and jump on the high prone on the stick its the best setup imo

i have the run set to the joystick button, just like the controller - might have to switch it though, sounds like a good idea

its hard to change when you are use to another setup but i use run way more than prone and sniping/holding breath is much more smooth on the trigger than stick for me too

Got everything ordered :-) logitech g500, Sony nav control, xim3 of course and a wired controller(always had wireless till now.

Only thing I wanted opinions on was a good mousemat to go with the g500.

Razer vespula? Goliathus control edition? Steel series qck?

I love the sony nav! Been usimg it for 3 weeks now!
The only 2 probs i have with it is its erganomics! (it dont have any) and the @#$% trigger being soooooooo @#$% loose!

Just the ps3 conyroller the L2 button is soo loose you can acidently press it ease!
To resolve this i opened it up (within minutes of purchasing it) and replaced the spring with a tougher one (snapped off the metal from a xbox controllers battery port) and bent it into shape and replaced it!

Now its just as stiff as the xbox controller!

As for my hand aching like @#$% after hours play im hunting for some modeling clay as one user stated in here!
So i can mould the nav controller to the shape of my hand! Then its pefect!!

If you was never a wasd player Then the nav controller is for you!
Why use the nav and not the left side of the xbox pad you ask?
Because the start, back and quide buttons are accessable with yiur left hand! (or you can map them to other buttons if you mouse has less than 5. Buttons excluding scroll up and down)

And also ADS sensitivity can be toggled with L2 if yiu use that for aiming.

What's your g500 recommended settings?

I've changed the dpi to 5700dpi with the logitech software and I read on here to disable the OS acceleration tab and was wondering if I need to change anything else?

Did you adjust it via the XIM3 or is it automatic?

Been trying with the nav controller but just can't get my brain to function mouse and nav properly, I'm left handed and that seems to be the problem, I just can't get used to using my right hand for movement, I'm used to keyboard from my pc playing days so will give that a try.

On the g500 other than dpi being maxed at 5700 do I need to change anything else like acceleration, polling rate or anything else?

go with the sony nav... i love mine, i used a keyboard and mouse for past 10 years and the g13 i just started using a couple months ago...had the sony nav for about a month now and will not go back to keyboard or g13 for fps games... fell in love with the nav... it takes over a week close to 2 weeks to get use to the sony nav though...if you wont give yourself time to get use to it, just get a kb...

Just wanna say thanks for all input and advice I got a sidewinder x4 but found it even harder to use for fps so given nav another go and finally got to grips with it and it's great.
