Just "gun on gun you're done.....son"
I think it was just called barebones pure? The one without any kill streaks. Without all the crap the maps become even more intricate and balanced. Its hard to articulate.
You need to properly throw yourself in and adjust though. I kept dipping in but once I played for an hour or two straight it clicked and became my fav mode.
Its crazy how much people complain about the crap in comparison to the low amount of players in the barebones.
I think the better you are at COD the more you die from random crap due to winning the majority of your gunfights. Barebones takes away that BS and makes it less like FPS bingo.
Its very easy to control the map on barebones because of this as well.
