You need to hold the red button down (you'll feel it click), and while keeping it held down, plug in your XIM3 into the PC. Keep holding it down until you see the USB icon on XIM3's screen.

Also try other usb ports if it's still not working.

Do you get a quick blink when in PC-Mode?

The screen goes black? Like, the entire thing is losing power? This happens when you run from a PC too?

It shuts down for PC too? What do you have plugged into it? Does it say on if you just have your controller and mouse plugged into it?

Is your Xbox the slim type or the old one? If it's the old one, do you use a wireless adapter? If so, does it work at all three USB ports? Have you used a wired controller with the console before?

Regarding your firmware, 707 is indeed the most recent one.

No, I don't mean is it shutting down your PC, I mean is it shutting down your XIM3?

Can you plug your XIM3 into your PC or Xbox (without anything else plugged into it) without your XIM3 shutting down?

If you can do that, what happens when you plug your mouse in next?

i use the old one, i use a wired adapter.  yes i can plug the xim3 to all 3 ports, works fine its getting power and start-up

my xim3 never been shutting down, its running fine, even when plugt to the pc

and yes i can. i tried that loads of times, it never shuts down. at one point early today, it was restarting a lot, but also told me the power was having problems. now after my controller complet died when it was attach to the xim3 and now cant start at all. even if my controller is plugt into the xbox 360 it wont start.

if i plug my mouse to my xim3 and its ex in my xbox360, nothing happens. nada. just the main screen, IF I then plug the power out and plug in again,. when the main screen gets there. my mouse light up quick and a sec after the icon gonna come on at the top in a split sec, and then its just back to normal main screen with only the xbox icon at the corner. mouse also dead. there no light under the mouse.

Are you using the mini-USB cable that came with the device? Do you another cable you can try that plugs between your XIM3 and Xbox? I've just never heard of a device getting enumerated and then suddenly disappearing.

From that wee clip, it could be that you have plugged the mouse into the controller port.

From that wee clip, it could be that you have plugged the mouse into the controller port.

Win

i plugged it in the left side of it. as the pic in the support side told me, even tried all ports so.

And, you get the same behavior with the controller?

when i tried it yesterday when the controller worked.  if i remember right i think i saw it come up.
but after my dad plugs the adapter to it, without me telling him to do it. i just feel like after that the xim3 started to act strange. and the controller died. ( and i just bought it for the sake of xim3 :p )

so i got no clue.
i am getting a new controller next week. then i will try and see if it can catch it. with out setting any adapter to it again.
