It seems like we need an app section, also kodek you may want to consider renaming your version of xim commander to avoid confusion between versions. Downloading it now.

My updates are going from 62 to 116.

So I guess the problem is somewhere else :(

We'll have to wait and see what OBsIV says.

Btw, OBsIV, I ended up using part of your source code (the keyboard map). I also compared my code to yours after I was done, and since I also used DirectInput, it's practically the same thing. The biggest difference is that you did the refreshing in a hard loop, and I used a background worker thread that starts again once it finishes. It was a good exercise, though! Now I plan to add G15 support so I can tell when the app is running from my keyboard's screen.

Haha. I'm not very original with my naming. I just stuck .NET after the old one :) This was more a test than anything, but if I end up adding more features and it becomes an actual project, I will definitely change its name.

I ran your app, the update rate seemed stable at about 63. Two things I noticed are when alt tabbing I receive an error when going back into commander.net, I can click ok and continue using the app. The second issue is with the g500 middle/side button that is under forward and back. I don't know if this is related to the xim commander apps or xim bridge but neither xim commander or your app recognize this button.

We use similar methods to detect mouse buttons. I only have a G700, but I think one of the thumb buttons also doesn't work in it. I will look into it.

Could you also copy/paste the info from the error message you get? Thanks!

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Fixed that one :) I was trying to start the background worker when it was already working.

I'm trying to find a way to get the extra mouse buttons to show up. Apparently, those buttons don't work in a lot of games either. Maybe DirectInput can't see them.

If that's the case, people will have to map them to keystrokes :(

Here's a new version that fixes the alt-tab issue and addes support for the scroll wheel. I don't know why I didn't add the scroll wheel in the beginning :) It's literally one line of code.

Looks like maybe my G13 drivers were giving my problems.

I got logitech G15 drivers installed, but I wouldn't think they would be the problem since kodek said he has a G15.

A question for people who are not having the update problem. On the back of my belkin cable the model number is F5U279tt, but the one on Amazon is just listed as F5U279. Can anyone verify their cable?

Mine is a F5U279, no tt. I USUALLY don't have the update issue, but it has happened a few times before. Restarting the XIM fixed it those times.

Hmm, then could model numbers potentially be an issue?

#F5U279, I have only had one short jump to 120 after turning off my lcd software for the Logitech besides that its remained super playable around 62.
