xim 2 no microphone jack

i thought all wired official xbox controller have a mic-input, at least the ones which are needed for the xim2 (005 and 006)

They do.  XIM2's are made from official MS controllers.  There is a 2.5mm audio port on the front edge of the controller, just like all MS controllers.

oh i see, you can use a wireless headset or check out the mod by silent how to make a standard headset wireless (in this forum)

that doesn't sound correct.. it didn't come that way I imagine, it's damaged apparently?

ok ive bought a wireless headset but it doesnt work cause my xim always shows that ive put a headset in though i havent cause my xim doesnt have a mic port..
is there a way to open my xim and fix that

It's unfortunate that you don't have a mic jack, I wonder why that person you bought it from removed it? While I don't know how to zero out the mic input (roads might) I can suggest that you return your wireless headset and pick up another xim2 for the low price of $65. Thats only $20 more than your headset..

I thought you might know how because you've done the same thing with the analog sticks/triggers. Oh well.

im sure there is a way, but it would need good knowledge
im not sure if theres any tutorial for this in the internet, and if anything goes wrong your xim might be broken

for the moment it might be easier to look for a new xim2 and sell your current one to someone that doesnt need a mic (with a low price)
or go with a cheap xim1 and save up for a xim3

using the official wireless microphone is the only alternative i can think of but as you said this somehow doesnt work
