Binding to Guide hits Start also

No matter what I program to Guide and Start, when I hit the Guide key (key0), it hits the Start key also (Key1).

Hitting start (Key1) works fine.

XFPS Sniper 3 + XIM (Bought off ebay, looks like Derek's design)

Any ideas? Maybe I got a bad flash?

Well, the xfps has start+back to use the guide button it is somewhat annoying, but that's how xcm did it sadly.

Yes, that's how the XFPS does it (which forces XIM to do it that way also). XIM2 won't have this problem.

What do you mean it hits start? Any time you hit the guide button, it will always pause (or do what happens when you hit start) even with a controller. . . When I hit the guide button in CoD4 it will always bring up the select class screen while im online, and or the game options screen when in single player. . . The reason why the guide button does this is because if you are in single player it will pause it for you so you don't, well die. . . .

So what your saying is, the XFPS hits guide+start when you hit guide?

So, when I hit Key0, and the XIM sends Guide, XFPS hits Start also?

It didn't seem to do that when I used kbm on just the Sniper...

Since the XFPS has no Guide button, it maps Start+Back to Guide.

Basically, the xfps has the guide button to start+back normally if you don't change it or if you can't, and I think that the xfps and xim clash from it. It might be hitting start twice instead of once to activate the guide function on the controller.

At least that's what I think anyway.

It's because a PS2 controller has no button to assign guide to. So the XFPS assigns guide to start. So when you hit start on a PS2 controller, the guide pops up along with what ever start does.

When you use a kb and mouse with the USB part of XFPS you can assign the guide button and it's not a problem. So this issue is just new to me since I moved to the XIM which uses the PS2 interface.

lol ya i found that out within the first minute, i figured that was xfps at work. however, I bound enter for start and I dont get guide, however my button for guide (esc) brings up guide and start. so I use start most of the time, then grab controller and use guide button there.
