XIM MATRIX Hardware Compatibility

Below is a compatibility list XIM MATRIX hardware including consoles, PCs, phones, headsets, controllers, mice, keyboards, and other USB input devices. Please notify us of hardware compatibility issues so that we can keep the list current.

Please make sure you are running our latest firmware which will have all our most recent fixes. Consider running our Beta builds and providing feedback so we can continue to improve the project together with the community.

XIM MATRIX supported Consoles/PC: For some consoles, XIM MATRIX needs your console controller plugged into USB port 3 (•••) all times to function. Not are required cables are included:

Xbox Series X|S, OneOfficial wireless Xbox Series X/S or One controller must be connected to XIM MATRIX with a matching USB C or micro-USB cable (not included) at all times (connection video)
PlayStation 5XIM MATRIX must be connected directly to your local network at using an Ethernet cable (not included) all times (connection video)
PlayStation 4Official wireless PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller must be connected to XIM MATRIX with a micro-USB cable (not included) at all times (connection video)
PCNo connected controller requirements (connection video)
XIM MATRIX supported Gamepads: XIM MATRIX supports the following controllers for gaming:

XIM MATRIX Manager supported Platforms: XIM MATRIX Manager configuration companion app is available on the following platforms (Bluetooth LE required):

XIM MATRIX and Wired Headsets: XIM MATRIX supports the following wired headset configurations:

Xbox Series X|S, OneWired headsets supported through connected Xbox controller
PlayStation 5Wired headsets supported through a connected PlayStation 5 DualSense controller (requires connection via USBC (not included) to XIM MATRIX)
PlayStation 4Wired headsets supported through connected PlayStation 4 DualShock v2 (Slim/Pro) controller
PCHeadsets are connected directly to your PC
XIM MATRIX Firmware Upgrade supported Platforms: XIM MATRIX firmware upgrades require a wired USB connection to the following:

PCWindows 10 x64 or higher                                                                 
MacmacOS 10.13 or higher                                                                 

All USB input devices are designed around a standard interface. However, hardware will sometimes diverge from the standard or require custom drivers to fully function. Peripherals like this will not function with your XIM MATRIX. Below is a list of USB hardware that users have reported to be not working.

RECHARGABLE DEVICES: Some devices can be run in either wired or wireless mode. When in wired mode, the device also recharges. Please be aware that your XIM MATRIX may not be able to source the power required to charge these devices. When plugged in, they may be non-functional or the XIM MATRIX may be shut down.
