There will always be recoil. NEXUS can mitigate it, but depending on the distance to target, it'll never be zero.
You can use a Titan, Cronus, or XIM Link for recoil management on XIM APEX. There's also a tutorial on XIM Central YouTube channel for using a Walk binding and an AUX for a simple version of recoil control.
All of these will feel very clunky by comparison as NEXUS feeds Smart Actions like anti-recoil directly into the Smart Translator, then seamlessly blends them into the game's look mechanics. That means you retain full control over your reticle, even while anti-recoil is active.
That can't be done using any other recoil control method - you'll either need to fight for vertical and angular control over your aim when anti-recoil is active, or break out of anti-recoil to track a target.
