You can’t be banned for using either device, they function the same way with auth controllers.

To answer the question, XIM has much more accurate mouse aim. Smart Translation is unique to XIM and makes for a significantly easier setup process too. XIM also has far more features to adjust aim behaviour.

If your friend plays CoD, then Titan Two can get close with some tweaking, but for any game that deviates from the norm, XIM is in a class of its own.

Like APEX, Titan Two is currently not being manufactured due to component shortages. So it’s kind of a moot argument as you can’t buy either one.

XIM is better.

He might got used to Titan acceleration, which XIM doesn't have by default, but can be done by using a ballistic curve.

The titan 2 is easily catchable by anti cheat and your more likely to get reported and banned as scrips do the same thing consistently without failure

The xim has no such thing it's still raw mouse movements but you get AA and the amount adjustment a you get within xim is much greater and there has been 0 anticheat bans on xim not to say someone hasn't been reported and deemed to be cheating by using a xim which is highly unlikely

Also support for xim is much better they are on top of it and constantly taking criticism from the forum

Titan Two is used in sponsored global tournaments, e.g Activision uses them for the CoD world champs. There are no reports of anyone ever being banned for using one. It's also very easy to obfuscate input by randomising input timing.

Keep in mind that for console anticheat software to scan for input heuristics, you need a tonne of dedicated server-side resources sniffing packets from EVERY player, logging and analysing that data. It's not done client-side, like it is on PC because it has no access to the operating system, RAM, network packets etc. The cost far outweighs the benefit, so they're not even looking for it. Again, it can be randomised anyway to look like natural input.

Long story short, there's very little to worry about using devices like Cronus or Titan. But, the m/kb experience is far inferior to XIM.
