XIM APEX not sending output to PC **SOLVED**

Ps4/5controller has been used and all three devices register.

It worked briefly when I initially plugged it in. It registered mouse movement as controller input.
I then messed with different settings that were suggested and nothing works in game.
Inputs register on the Manager but in game nothing. any ideas?

Hey,

delete your XIM Config and create a brand new one. Dont change anything in it until inputs are registered in the game again. That way we can rule out accidental config changes that caused this.
Next plug a PS4 v2 controller into port 3 of your XIM. The DualSense wont work, its not XIM Apex compatible. After that make sure you play the PS4 version of a game. XIM Apex is not compatible with PS5 games, for those you must work one of the various PS5 workarounds described in the forum. At last check your ingame settings. Those must match the required ingame settings from the XIM website.
If it still doesnt work, use a different USB cable for the controller. It has a to be a data cable, so no charging only cable.

I'm trying to play Apex Legends on PC w Mnk
I tried all of the above still no input to game.
am using Dualshock with data cable micro usb

In that case check if you maybe forced the game into M/K mode, so it wont pickup your controller = XIM.

I've checked to see if it's locked me out and it hasn't. I tried the xbox controller and it worked just fine off of the Xim.
I've tried ps4 v2 controller, xbox one wireless controller w/ dongle, and ps5 controller. no luck still on getting input to the game.

Ok FINALLY! I have figured it out.
If using XIM Apex on PC, you cannot have it in wired mode and in-play mode simultaneously. I was finally able to use it by just plugging it in and NOT putting it in wired mode.now to tweak the settings.

I've spent over 5+ hours researching my issue with such a simple fix. there are countless of other folks that had the same issue as me in the forums

Happy to hear that its working now! What is the in play mode? A special setting in the game i assume?

im referring to leaving it as is without pushing the button on the XIM putting it in wired mode does not allow output to be sent to the game if editing configs while in wired mode, you must save and unplug then replug

Oh yes that is true, the PC Manager mode does not allow to play the PC game at the same time. For that i recommend to use the phone manager. It will allow you to keep your XIM in "gaming" mode while at the same time you can adjust the config settings and check out their effect ingame on the fly!
