...to post our settings for PS3 (exclusive) games?  Maybe have a standard posting guideline for games.

Each game would be it's own topic and then people would post their translator settings for that game.

People could post their tweaks for existing STs or Ts that seem to work for the games in question.  We could also have a poll for the best translator setups so people can try popular/tweaked settings first, possibly  eliminating the need to try a bunch before settling on one that's popular.

This effect is way more pronounced in Killzone 3, every gun you pickup has a different turn speed.  Even between guns in the same class....but that's a PS3 exclusive...

Maybe not even firmware, but even put out an unsupported ST for PS3 exclusive games would be nice.  Adapter or not.

If it continues to work then great!  If it doesn't we know you warned us and we can't complain.  It can be a litmus test for the popularity of the XIM3 on PS3, which I don't doubt.

Infinity Ward's executive producer Mark Rubin told an audience at a roundtable discussion at Call of Duty XP that the developer's focus is on gameplay technology. The developers have been further fine-tuning the sensitivity and acceleration of the thumbsticks for the console versions of the game.

Hope this doesn't mean that we'll have to tweak the crap out of our BO or MW2 setups to get the XIM3 to feel right until a ST can be released.

How soon will it be before a ST can be released?  What is the "learning" time needed for a new ST anyway?

If you are the one using the eye/cam mic then you're causing the issue.  TV sound is being retransmitted thru the eye/mic and causing the problem.

You can test this by using any cheap bluetooth mic (like for your cell phone) and pair that up to your PS3.  you'll get voice chat thru the mic and earbud and game audio from your TV speakers.  You won't get the "i'm playing in a bathroom" echo sound from anyone unless they are using an eye/mic.

PS3 controllers don't have a "back" button.  The 360 controllers have a Back button which would be in roughly the same place as the Select button on the PS3 controllers.

If you're talking about the in game menu like going from screen to screen, and not actually playing the game, you usually press the O button to go "back".

my dsl really sucks. in the evenings my ping goes to 300 and my speeds are anywhere from 1-5Mb/s. im suppose to be getting a solid 6Mb/s at the moment. I want the 12 offered and if i dont get that soon i'm going to cable. they offer 8Mb/s. too many people online in the evenings are a killer for me. its about time for my weekly call in to them. maybe tomorrow..

If you go cable you're not going to get any better.  The way DSL works is you have a direct line to ISP.  Any traffic after that is unavoidable due to it being a a peak internet surfing time. This is why you are getting @#$% pings during the times you are.

Cable internet works a little differently.  It's a shared tech where you are sharing the bandwidth with people on the same node as you.  That could mean you are sharing the same bandwidth with people in your neighborhood and the neighborhood next to you and so on and so forth.  This really becomes and issue when trying to play at peak times because you are trying to play while Bobby and Susie Download is streaming Netflix and downloading torrents at the same time next door.  I would ask your cable company how many people are sharing your node and get it on a trial basis for 30 days if you can.  See if it's decent and then go with it if it works out well.

You can't record off the HDMI.  It's HDCP protected.  You'll have to record off the component cables.

lmao nice. I wish they allowed private matches to be custom wager matches.

You can go to the community in the menu and they have some game modes that were glitched.  Just copy them to your file share.
